S5 – 5G Technology Accelerator is the first acceleration program in Poland supporting the development of innovative solutions that significantly use 5G or 5G ready technology (Non-Standalone 5G architecture) in enterprises. The accelerator was created in 2019 by Lodz Special Economic Zone and is already the second accelerator in the Lodz SEZ portfolio, next to Startup Spark.

Startups qualified for the program receive expert and financial support as part of de minimis aid for product / service development in 5G / 5G ready technology. The aim of the program is to validate projects in enterprises and prepare them for subsequent commercialization.

As part of the program, Lodz SEZ, in cooperation with the regulatory (Office of Electronic Communication), mobile operator and Ericsson, as a device provider, creates 5G Campus Networks in the headquarters of Lodz SEZ’s companies.
