About Apsys

For 20 years, Apsys has been designing and managing commercial spaces in France and Poland stirring up emotions and building social relations. Apsys develops innovative, tailor-made projects which take into account the space character, its social context and the natural environment. Among the main company’s projects are Beaugrenelle in Paris and Manufaktura in Łódź (both projects awarded by the ICSC as the best shopping centers). The Apsys Group manages a portfolio of 30 shopping centers and runs 6 development projects.

Goal

Encourage the customer to visit the center and take an advantage of the unique shopping experience defined as a search for desired products by using the developed solution, so that the purchase will always take place within the premises of center.

What we are looking for

Areas of innovation we are looking for:

  • Personalization
  • Augmented Reality (AR)
  • Virtual Reality (VR)
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Mobile
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Big Data

In the above mentioned areas we are looking for solutions with the following characteristics

  • accessibility: accessible to the user from the mobile device level, however the interface does not necessarily has to be a dedicated application. It can be a solution that uses mobile device universal access channels (i.a. Facebook Messenger, wi-fi network, etc.).
  • compatibility: should have the option for integration with product databases (including e-commerce offered by some retailers) with retailers’ minimum involvement in carrying out the integration process.
  • multiplatform: should be adjusted to the user (solution should also involve users “before and after” the purchase takes place) and the space where it is to be used (shopping center). This includes software and hardware solutions (IoT).
  • flexibility: should be able to interact with other retail dedicated support products in order to jointly create a retail support ecosystem.
  • implementation readiness: should be in a development phase (at least in the MVP phase) allowing for its implementation within a maximum of 6 months long acceleration program.

What we are offering

Startup Spark will provide to the selected projects:

  • smart money acceleration based on education and possible financial support in product development process (in the second stage of the project).
  • access to thousands of clients through Apsys managed shopping centers (including Manufaktura) and unique possibilities to test solutions in a real settings.
  • participation in the creation of an international retail support tools ecosystem.

NOTE: We invite projects to apply which are at least in the MVP development phase.
